Biker dismembered viciously by divider

MALAYSIA – On May 4, 2024, a teenager tragically lost his life in a heart-wrenching incident when the motorcycle he was riding collided with a lorry at Kilometer (KM) 13.9 of the Butterworth-Kulim Expressway (BKE), heading towards Seberang Jaya from Kulim in Kedah.

The 19-year-old victim was pronounced dead while receiving treatment at Seberang Jaya Hospital (HSJ) around 12:20 noon.

Assistant Commissioner Helmi Aris, Chief of Police of Seberang Perai Tengah District, stated that preliminary investigations revealed the motorcycle rider was a local resident.

He explained that the incident occurred from the same direction, causing the victim and the motorcycle to veer off to the left side of the road.

“The victim suffered severe injuries to the hands and legs and was pronounced dead at Seberang Jaya Hospital while receiving treatment. The case is being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987,” he told reporters.
