TAIWAN – On April 10, 2024, in Taoyuan’s Guanyin Industrial Park, two trucks collided on Zhongxiao Road. A cement truck was hit by a speeding tanker truck, causing the cement truck to hit a wall and the tanker to overturn. Amazingly, a pedestrian walking nearby narrowly escaped harm. Surveillance footage shows him standing by the wall when the trucks crashed. He quickly slipped into a gap between the cement truck and the wall, avoiding serious injury.
The cement truck driver, a 62-year-old named Chiu, and the tanker truck driver, a 49-year-old named Chen, suffered minor injuries. Both were taken to the hospital for check-ups, and no signs of drunk driving were found. The accident is currently under investigation to determine its cause.
