According to the Military Police, Daniel was in a car with his 27-year-old brother and two women when someone knocked on the vehicle’s window. After stepping out to confront the individual, a verbal altercation escalated into a physical fight. The suspect, armed with a switchblade, stabbed Daniel in the leg, causing severe blood loss.
Daniel’s brother attempted to intervene but sustained injuries to two fingers on his right hand. The suspect fled, and police searches have yet to locate him. Emergency responders transported the victims to the hospital, where Daniel’s brother was treated and released.
Daniel was originally from Colinas do Tocantins but had lived in Araguaína since childhood. He worked as a concrete pipe assistant and had been in a seven-month relationship with Gabriely Mota. The couple lived together and was planning to marry. In a heartfelt social media tribute, Gabriely described him as “kind, cheerful, and loving,” saying he had made her feel truly loved.
