Man Strikes Doctor 18 Times With Sickle

A doctor in Nashik, Maharashtra, is in critical condition after being attacked with a sickle on Friday night. Dr. Kailas Rathi (48), director of a hospital in the Panchvati area, was reportedly attacked by the husband of a former employee over a financial dispute.

The employee had previously been accused of misappropriating Rs 6 lakh and was sacked, but later reinstated. She allegedly took another Rs 12 lakh and refused to return the money, leading to tensions. Following the attack, the accused husband has been arrested, and a case has been filed against the former employee and her husband based on a complaint by the doctor’s wife.
