Boynton Beach, Florida — A man was killed on August 13, 2024, after crashing into the rear of a tractor trailer on Florida’s Turnpike near the Boynton Beach Boulevard exit.
Authorities said the driver of a silver 2020 Mercedes-Benz C63 coupe was speeding along the shoulder before merging into traffic and hitting the trailer from behind. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The truck driver was taken to the hospital. Southbound lanes were temporarily closed following the crash.
