Naval Cadet Plunges to Death as Parachute Fails to Open

CHAMPOTÓN, Mexico — Tragedy struck on July 1 when a cadet, identified as Emmanuel Velazquez, died after his parachute failed to deploy during a training exercise at a marine facility in Champotón, Campeche State.

In the video, the cameraperson can be heard calling for a doctor, exclaiming, “One of them got away, hurry up!” Despite rushing to help, those on the scene were unable to save the young cadet, who was pronounced dead.

That poor innocent soul didn’t deserve to out like that! i feel bad for the many missed opportunities that Cadet Velazquez could have had!
