In a harrowing incident in São Paulo, Brazil, chilling surveillance footage captured the tragic sequence of events as a police officer fatally shot his wife in broad daylight on Sunday.
The video unveils Erika de Lima, 33, emerging from the driver’s seat and forcibly pulling open the right passenger door in an attempt to remove her husband, Military Police officer Thiago de Lima, 36, from the vehicle.
As she tries to pull him out, Thiago de Lima exits the car, armed with a gun in his right hand. He first fires a shot that narrowly misses Erika de Lima’s face, following it with five blows to her face using the gun. Subsequently, he fires two shots, both striking her in the chest.
The footage tragically depicts Erika staggering before collapsing against the car’s bumper, succumbing to her injuries.
