Woman knocked and killed by a train.
What a dumb way to die. Plus the guy lifting her up did a horrible job at “saving” her.

A woman was killed by a vintage steam train while attempting to take a selfie near the tracks in Nopala de Villagrán, northwest of Mexico City, on Monday. The victim, in her mid-20s, was standing too close to the tracks with her phone in hand when the locomotive passed.

As the train approached, a video showed the woman preparing to take a photo near a child. She dropped to one knee, and the train hit her on the back of her head, sending her crashing forward. A nearby man pulled her body away from the passing train, but emergency services could only confirm her death. The woman was at the event with her son and children from a nearby school.

The train involved, Canadian Pacific 2816, also known as the “Empress,” is a restored steam locomotive built in 1930. The train was on the Final Spike Steam Tour across Canada, the US, and Mexico to celebrate the merger that created Canadian Pacific Kansas City (CPKC). CPKC expressed their condolences and announced an investigation into the incident. They urged the public to maintain a safe distance from the tracks and avoid approaching or crossing railway tracks.
