A tragic incident involving an elephant unfolded during a temple festival in Kerala’s Kottayam district, claiming the life of a 26-year-old man. The distressing event occurred on April 3 during a religious ceremony at the TV Puram Sreerama Swami temple in Vaikom.
The harrowing scene was captured on video and widely shared on social media platforms. It showed a person, climbing onto an elephant named Kunjulakshmi as part of the ceremony. However, as Kunjulakshmi stood up, she suddenly went berserk, resulting in Aravind being tragically crushed by the massive animal. Despite being rushed to a nearby hospital, Aravind succumbed to his injuries later. It was revealed that Aravind had been serving as the elephant’s mahout for just a month prior to the incident.
