Some countries have certain frequencies that don’t allow you to let go after a certain voltage. UK for example has a frequency of 50Hz which results in the UK having the lowest voltage required for someone to not be able to let go. Don’t know why though.
Also any serious electrician with experience knows how to position themselves around wires. You dont put yourself on a place where if you get a serious shock you’ll clench the wires. For example. When you tap wires it’s with the back of your hand. Dont grasp it because the shock locks your muscles and if you grab it you cannot let go.

The electricity is keeping him there, how ever he was holding on before he had electricity flowing through him will be the same way he stays on, but the electricity makes you tighten up so he actually would of been more secure then ever before because he would of been gripping it with all his power without even trying.
